This week’s Local Business Spotlight goes to J Leonard Gallery & Vintage Emporium Joe’s gallery is located at 12157 State Route 88 in Garrettsville.
Joe has been woodcarving for over 50 years. Joe’s Pegasus carvings are his signature, however, he has created many masterpieces that have been featured all over the world in numerous museums. Joe enjoys working on mythical dragons and other creatures as well.
Joe created numerous horses for the carrousels for Disneyland in Paris. Some of his other pieces have been featured at museums in Japan, Sydney, France, Singapore, New York, Baltimore, and Cleveland, just to name a few. He is able to ship his creations all over the world… the farthest being to Lebanon.
Locally Joe has done amazing work for St. Ambrose Catholic Church revamping their alter. The craftsmanship is remarkable!
Joe’s Gallery has been open for about 5 years. Not only can you view and purchase his amazing work; he also features other locals creating paintings, boards, brooms, ornaments, glass blowing pieces, stained glass, jewelry, as well as pottery.
Joe will be offering classes for wood-crafting, stain glass, and painting in the future.
